EL EMPLEO DE LOS ELEMENTOS SOCIOCULTURALES Y SU INFLUENCIA EN LA HABILIDAD PRONUNCIACIÓN EN LOS ESTUDIANTES DE PRIMER AÑO DE LENGUAS EXTRANJERAS

THE USE OF THE SOCIOCULTURAL ELEMENTS AND THEIR INFLUENCE IN THE PRONUNCIATION SKILL IN THE STUDENTS OF THE FIRST YEAR OF FOREIGN LANGUAGE

Resumen

El nuevo modelo de la Universidad de Ciencias Pedagógicas para la enseñanza de la lengua inglesa tiene entre sus características la preparación diferenciada de los estudiantes de este nivel. El artículo que se presenta parte de cómo desarrollar habilidades de pronunciación en los estudiantes de primer año de Lenguas Extranjeras, para lo cual se elaboraron ejercicios con el propósito de dar solución a la problemática planteada, y propiciar el cumplimiento del objetivo final en la enseñanza del idioma extranjero: la comunicación, se logra, de esta forma, un comunicador social por excelencia en correspondencia con las exigencias del modelo social a que aspira la sociedad. Se propone una concepción didáctica para el desarrollo de habilidades de pronunciación, con la utilización de un mapa fonético, el cual permite que se grafique una pronunciación simulada de los sonidos. Para ello, la pronunciación simulada se escribe entre paréntesis y se representa una palabra muestra de cada sonido, con su significado.

ABSTRACT

The new model of the Pedagogical University for the teaching of the English Language has among its characteristics the differentiated preparation of the students in this level. This search links about how develop skills of pronunciation in the students of the first year of Foreign Language. The proposal objective is to elaborate some exercises to give solution to pronunciation problems to achieve the end in the teaching of the foreign language: communication, and thus, to achieve an excellence social communicating taking into account the social model that society requires. The proposal is a didactic conception for the development of skills of pronunciation, with the use of a phonetic map, to become familiar the students with the realization of a sound or sequence of simulated sounds, with the visual experience that give us this teaching aid. The designed phonetic map allows representing a simulated pronunciation of the sounds. For it, the simulated pronunciation is written among parenthesis and a word is represented, it shows each sound with its meaning.
