BASES TEÓRICAS DE LA SOCIOLOGÍA DE LA EDUCACIÓN: LAS RELACIONES SOCIEDAD-CULTURA

THEORETICAL SUPPORT OF SOCIOLOGY OF EDUCATION: SOCIETY AND CULTURE RELATIONSHIP

Resumen

El artículo tiene como objetivo: explicar bases teóricas de la sociología de la educación, fundamentalmente las relaciones sociedad-cultura y educación-clase social en el poder. Parte de un análisis crítico de las ideas del marxismo clásico acerca de la sociedad, el ser y la conciencia social, la base económica y la superestructura. Aborda la concepción antropológica de la cultura y establece un paralelo teórico entre la sociedad y la cultura. Los autores aportan una definición de cultura al concebirla como el todo complejo que cualifica a la sociedad y se expresa en cinco dimensiones fundamentales: la creación o producción y consumo de bienes culturales materiales y espirituales, la participación social en la construcción, preservación y defensa de la cultura, el patrimonio cultural, la identidad cultural y la gestión cultural, todas condicionadas por el sistema de relaciones sociales y de poder.

ABSTRACT

This article has as objective to explain the theoretical bases of sociology of education, mainly the relation among society-culture and education-social class in power. It begins with the critical analysis of Marxism ideas about society, being, and social consciousness, the economic base and the superstructure. It deals with the Anthropological conception of culture and establishes a theoretical parallelism between culture and society. The authors offer a definition of culture conceived as a whole complex that qualifies society and is expressed through five dimensions: creation or production, and consume of cultural, material spiritual and goods, the social participation, preservation and defense of culture, cultural patrimony, cultural identity, each and every one conditioned by the system of social relation and the power.
