Methodology for the treatment of the geographic space content in the Bachelor in Geography Education

Abstract

The research solves the deficiencies in the treatment of the geographic space content in the teaching-learning process of Geography, which limits its understanding by the students of the Bachelor in Geography Education, at the University of Las Tunas. The objective was the elaboration of a methodology, in which the instructive and educational potentialities of the content are argued as a way to achieve the link of the unit between the cognitive and the affective in its treatment and to contribute to the geographic spatial education of the students. From the instrumental point of view, didactic procedures are provided based on the use of selected geographical spaces, their cultural peculiarities, specific skills and teaching-learning situations that favor the motivation for the content and the development of professional pedagogical skills.
