Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education: Challenges and Opportunities

Artificial intelligence is significantly transforming higher education. This article aims to highlight the challenges and opportunities presented by artificial intelligence in higher education. It analyzes how AI can improve the personalization of learning, increase efficiency in data management, and provide instant feedback to students and teachers. However, it also discusses the ethical and technical challenges associated with its implementation in higher education, such as data privacy, over-reliance on technology, and the need for teacher training. The use of different theoretical and empirical methods for analyzing the information revealed the need for its systematic development in the educational process as students foster a work culture based on knowledge and the use of artificial intelligence. This research provides empirical evidence and critical reflection to guide institutions, legislators, and educators in the responsible adoption of artificial intelligence, ensuring that its potential benefits all actors in the teaching-learning process
