Abstract

Financial and business education for children is nothing new. There are many initiatives worldwide that, although they use different models and learning strategies, agree on the same objective: to provide business information and financial education to children from an early age. In this research, the authors propose as an objective to develop pedagogical strategies for financial education in children from 7 to 12 years of age. The methodology proposed corresponds to a qualitative/experimental type of research. The research/intervention was based on training in basic business concepts using workshops, games and dynamics. The results of the research indicate that there is no evidence of financial and business education programs for children in Ecuador; likewise, they allow the design of a business school model for children that can be adapted to the current educational system.
