Abstract

Fidel Castro is one of the best orators of all times and especially of the 20th century and part of the 21st century. The leader's work exerted an enormous influence on different generations of Cubans and foreigners, so it has become an object of study from the interests of specialists in various branches of the social and humanistic sciences. In Cuba, research is being carried out with the aim of recovering and using the potential of his ideas in the formation of values. There are philosophical, sociological, psychological and pedagogical assumptions that support him theoretically. Fidel's oratory is also analyzed from communication, politics, pedagogy and other disciplines. Cuban education values the relevance of the resources provided by Fidel Castro through his methods of thought and assessments on the most diverse issues, of which he was the protagonist, in order to achieve a comprehensive education that favors the multidimensional and holistic development of the personality of individuals in society. We consider that the development of oratory in university students based on Fidel Castro's model of eloquence and rhetoric, constitutes at the same time a tool that promotes the development of intelligence, creativity and the best values of Cuban society. The present work aims, by means of the study and analysis of diverse sources related to the subject, to value the importance of Fidel Castro Ruz's eloquence and rhetoric as a paradigm of the oratorical art in the formation of university students.
