Preventive work with students in situation of social disadvantage

Abstract

This article reveals a system of educational guidance workshops for the preparation of basic secondary teachers in the development of preventive work with socially disadvantaged students who have deficiencies in school performance and inadequate behavior. The current state of the problem reflects little knowledge of the teachers about the documents that regulate the preventive work and the characteristics of the students in a social disadvantage situation, insufficiencies in the pedagogical delivery process, in the Integral Pedagogical Diagnosis: incomplete characterizations, little use of techniques and methods of psychological research, few intervention strategies. In the realization of the system of workshops, methods and techniques of educational orientation were used that propitiated the dynamics and favored the motivation of the participants. The results achieved demonstrate the feasibility of the proposal.
