The education of sexuality in the education of the students of the pedagogical schools

Abstract

This article reveals a problem still present in society, despite the fact that acceptance and respect for sexual diversity are promoted more every day. With the application of methods such as observation, the group interview and the survey, the existence of behaviors and manifestations of rejection and violence towards students with homosexual sexual orientation was verified in the José Martí Pedagogical School of Holguín province. This contradiction between what from the theory is established at the national level and what is actually happening in practice in the educational context motivated us to propose the implementation of a communication campaign to promote acceptance of the sexual diversity of these students. For its effective implementation, we offered methodological guidelines to teachers that were easy to understand and apply.
