The reading competition in students of the Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Languages

Abstract

This article defines the concept of reading in order to give it a didactic-practical-functional utility and thus avoid confusion with the term text; it also offers the theoretical foundations on reading competence for students of the Bachelor of Foreign Languages degree and its internal structure from the conception of psychological configuration. A series of requirements are also offered to facilitate the apprehension of the referred competence.
