Abstract

This article addresses a topic of vital importance in the process of improvement of Higher Education, aimed at achieving higher levels of efficiency and quality, in correspondence with the Guidelines of the economic and social policy of the Party and the Revolution. At the University of Las Tunas this policy has advanced and experience in the implementation of the management system of the process of comprehensive training of university students in the base link, specifically with the designation of the main academic year professor as the highest academic authority of according to the particularities of the faculties. It is necessary to bear in mind that each one of them has done so in virtue of the human resources available to achieve the improvement of the quality of the teaching-educational process, which is basically dependent on the qualification and performance of the faculty. However, some of these officials may still be found who do not have sufficient scientific and pedagogical experience to fully carry out this function. From the diagnosis it was possible to corroborate that the preparation of this professor still does not reach the sufficient knowledge to adequately fulfill his attributions, obligations and his function of direction, what limits the successful conduction of the university community of the academic year.
