A progressive insertion into the discourse of sciences in the foreign language in the cuban university context

The present paper aims at describing learning steps to insert students into discourse of sciences in the foreign language, from representative communicative practices of sciences, with emphasis on reading and writing. The systematization of different sources was used to formulate the main criteria to cover the process of the integration of sciences and the foreign language from a discourse perspective. The implementation of learning steps produced, as a first result, an initial characterization of learning activity with a tendency to a progressive insertion into discourse of sciences in the foreign language. This leads into a long-term strategy to work out the representative communicative practices of sciences that should direct the didactic performance of teachers in the university context.
