Journalistic texts, press proofreading and textual semiotic model

Abstract

The article socializes results derived from the theoretical inquiry carried out in the journalistic editorial office of Periódico 26, of Las Tunas, given that the use of the expressive possibilities of the language could be used more, in consonance with the sociocultural responsibility of the media, by contributing to favor the legitimization of the adequate use of the language and, in particular, of the Cuban variety of Spanish. With the purpose of offering solution proposals to this problem, it was investigated in the particularities of the journalistic text, of the press correction and of the advantages offered by the textual semiotic model for the analysis of this textual subtypology, which becomes the objective of the study. Consequently, from the use of methods and techniques such as analysis-synthesis, induction-deduction, revision of documents, it starts from considering the professional and ethical responsibility of the press, in which the linguistic excellence of its texts is decisive, as a source of information and knowledge, which legitimizes the access to objective information and the good use of language. The textual semiotic model is based as one of the most adequate instruments to interpret specific problems of mass communication. In this sense, correction, as part of the process of elaboration of communicative products, is aimed at perfecting the message inserted in a text, in order to guarantee its comprehension and acceptance.
