Validation of an instrument for the diagnosis of institutional strategies to confront climate change

Abstract

The State Plan to confront climate change in Cuba, conceives as one of its purposes, to strengthen a nation more prepared to provide a comprehensive proposal from the first identification of priority areas and places, their effects and the actions to be undertaken. This scientific article presents the results of the validation process of an instrument for the diagnosis of institutional strategies to confront climate change. The study carried out corresponds to the typology of content validity, which corresponds to a descriptive and interpretative methodology. The study carried out makes it possible to sustain that the instrument developed is pertinent and has relevance for diagnosing institutional strategies for dealing with climate change, based on the judgment of experts, which was carried out by research professors with a high level of experience in the subject matter submitted for their consideration. It may be significant to carry out a similar scientific study to submit to analysis the measurement of the reliability of the questionnaire developed, as well as it would be convenient that the present instrument be applied in a pilot phase, in order to proceed to make the necessary adjustments.
