Textual comprehension: a challenge for teachers at the Baraguá Municipal University Branch Office

Abstract

The present work has the objective of reflecting on the development of the textual comprehension process in the Bachelor's Degree in Primary Education of the Baraguá Municipal University Branch. It also responds to the need of an approach to textual comprehension as a process in the Improvement of the Cuban Higher Education System, which evidences quality. Methods of the theoretical level are used, as well as other techniques and procedures of the empirical level to support the analysis and reflections on the different sources consulted on the subject. A study is made of the methodological preparatory actions carried out, characterized by their flexibility, dynamism, attention to teachers' individual differences and to the difficulties they face in working with the textual comprehension process in their classes, in order to achieve its improvement.
