A BRIEF HISTORY ABOUT THE PROFESIONAL UPGRADING IN PEPITO TEY UNIVERSITY OF PEDAGOGICAL SCIENCES

Resumen

El trabajo recoge una síntesis de la historia de la superación profesional postgraduada que ha brindado la Universidad de Ciencias Pedagógicas “Pepito Tey” en sus casi cuarenta años de existencia, a los docentes y cuadros del centro y el territorio educacional. En el mismo, se evidencia cómo la estrategia de superación se perfecciona cuantitativa y cualitativamente, en la misma medida en que el potencial científico del claustro crece. Los modestos resultados que actualmente se evidencian en esta modalidad de la superación postgraduada, constituyen una muestra fehaciente del impacto social que este nivel educativo, ha tenido en el desarrollo de la cultura y la educación en el territorio.

ABSTRACT

This article is a synthesis of the history of the postgraduate professional upgrading courses provided by the UCP in almost 40 years of its foundation to all the teachers in our territory. It makes evident how the upgrading strategy was quantitatively and qualitatively perfected at the time the scientific potential of the staff was getting higher. The modest results which are evident at present constitute a real example of the social impact that this educative level has acquired in the development of the culture and the education of the territory.
