Historical study of love of profession in medical professional identity

Abstract

The present research reveals the importance of prioritizing the historical study as part of the foundations that support the love for the profession in the medical professional identity. This has its starting point in the identification of the problem: insufficiencies in the historical foundation of love for the profession, as a component of the formation of the medical professional identity in the student of the career of Medicine, which limits its integral formation and has as objective: to argue the historical foundations of love for the profession in the medical professional identity of the student of the career of Medicine. Among the fundamental methods used, the Historical and Logical methods stand out, these allow identifying indicators and stages to study the historical evolution of love for the profession between 1960 and 2020, characterizing each stage as an important result for the advance of the rest of the research tasks, which together with the identification of historical trends, constitute important supports in the result as part of a doctoral research and task of the Territorial research project, financed by CITMA, in the province of Las Tunas.
