A critical look at the training of a professional of Technical and Professional Education

Abstract

In the practice of teaching the current Middle Technician, a teacher is required who has tools to understand the relationships established between their students and between them and the environment to achieve sustainability from a perspective of change in ways of thinking, to overcome the conservationist or environmentalist approach to education. From this perspective, the permanent training of teachers of Technical and Vocational Education (ETP) must be aimed at providing teachers with new knowledge, skills, values and abilities that favor their performance from the teaching - learning process. Where the professors of the Polytechnic Institutes of Construction are responsible for achieving the training of a Middle Technician, with complete mastery of the production process and services directly linked to the areas of the construction investment process, using advanced techniques and technologies, which contribute to sustainable development. To commit the above purposes, teachers are required to have a preparation that allows them to direct the educational work towards the preservation of the environment from the profession in the teaching-learning process.
