LA PSICOENDOCRINOLOGÍA Y SU IMPORTANCIA EN LA FORMACIÓN DE UN PSICÓLOGO CLÍNICO

PSYCHOENDOCRINOLOGY AND ITS IMPORTANCE FOR THE FORMATION OF CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST

Resumen

El objetivo primordial en el estudio de la psicología clínica es el cerebro, como generador de conducta, de cognición o de emoción, pero no hay que olvidar que detrás de esto siempre habrá un mecanismo fisiológico-neuronal. Por este motivo, es que el estudiante de psicología clínica de la universidad necesita una base de conocimientos anatómicos y funcionales del sistema nervioso y endocrino, en su relación con la conducta humana, debido a que estos dos sistemas son responsables de las emociones, la conducta y el comportamiento humano, y su dominio es fundamental en su proceso de formación. A ello se dedica la asignatura Psicoendocrinología. El presente artículo tiene como objetivo abordar su importancia en la formación del psicólogo clínico.

ABSTRACT

The main objective in the study of clinic psychology is brain, as a generator of behaviour, cognition or emotions, but it is not necessary to forget that behind all these, there is always a physiological-neurotically mechanism. For this reason, is that the student of clinic psychology of the university needs an atomic and functional knowledge of the nerve and endocrine system, in its relation with the human behaviour, due to the fact that these two systems are responsible of emotions and human behaviour, and its mastery is fundamental in their formation process. The subject of Psicoendocrinology is devoted to that. The present article has as objective to deal with the importance of the formation of the clinical psychologist.
