The objective of this study is to analyze the historical evolution of the process of developing skills in ideopolitical preparation and training as an essential content of the Party's School System in Cuba. This study allows us to situate this phenomenon in time and space in the revolutionary period. In this respect, an approach to its fundamental tendencies is presented. This makes it possible to specify the achievements and difficulties that have existed in each of the identified stages. This has favoured the setting of goals to ensure that graduates take on the challenges of each era and actively participate in Cuba's social progress. Four fundamental criteria were used in the research: the level of preparation of teachers to achieve the development of skills as the object of the Party's schools; the characterization of the approaches to the skills process; the commitment of this process to the performance of the graduates; and the realization of the didactic principle of the link between school and life. This made it possible to compile information about the evolution of the Cuban Communist Party school system with respect to the subject referred to and especially at its most massive level: the municipal schools.
