Sexuality education from the current integral approach and with a professional psycho-pedagogical perspective

Abstract

Contributing to the integral education of sexuality in the university context from the use of the potentialities of the current integral approach, contributes to the integral formation of the university student and considers the successful fulfillment of the functions inherent to each specialty, fundamental in this process to transform the ways of feeling, thinking and acting in the professional task. The development of these times indicates that every day the student in training must be prepared to improve the ways of solving problems and face the challenges of the historical context as a mediator on issues of sexuality education in the different contexts of action, a priority goal for the specialist of the Pedagogy-Psychology career. The objective of the present work is aimed at proposing a theoretical resignification of the knowledge regarding the integral education of sexuality in the fulfillment of the professional functions of educational orientation, research and improvement, methodological teaching or process management and psycho-pedagogical counseling, essence of the professional role of the student of this career. As theoretical level methods, the historical-logical and theoretical systematization were used. Among the empirical methods, observation, interview and test were used. The main result shows as main result the professional psycho-pedagogical perspective of the integral education of sexuality in the formation of the Pedagogy-Psychology student through tasks distributed among their professional functions.
