Abstract

University Education is based on Marti, Marx, Lenin and Fidel principles, which include the theoretical preparation, the formation of a new moral, instruction, knowledge of the society and nature and it must develop a fundamental role inside educational and cultural policy of the country. The present research brings the potentialities that offer Fidel Castro’s oratory as a Universal History teaching source at Las Tunas University. Fidel Castro’s oratory constitutes a model that the professor of History can use for the development of his work. Different methods and procedures are used that support theoretically the treatment to Fidel Castro's thought in the teaching-learning process, to be consequent with their way of thinking, to feel and to act with the principles and conquests of their people and the most advanced social experience in their time. Fidel Castro’s oratory is an invaluable tool in the Universal History II teaching-learning process; it favors humanist formation and propitiates in the students the exchange of ideas, opinions and reasonings, as well as the acquisition of knowledge on facts, processes, phenomena, documents and historical personalities. It has allowed us to teach and to learn a contextualized history, proximate the students from Las Tunas University to the historical past.
