Abstract

The research that underpinned the content of this article presented as a central objective the determination of the impact of project-based learning on the study of scientific research methods. To achieve this goal, methods were used at the theoretical and empirical levels of the science outlined above, as well as mathematical and statistical methods. The research activity that preceded the writing of this work presented an exploratory, descriptive and experimental design. For its development, 30 students of the specialty of Commerce were randomly selected. The study was carried out between the month of April 2019 and July of the same year. The main variables treated were project-based learning and the study of scientific research methods. The Pearson Correlation Coefficient was used to process the results derived from empirical techniques and methods. Among the main findings reached was a diagnosis of the existing situation before and after applying the experimental action in the university institution under study, as well as a methodology for its application, reaching the conclusion that project-based learning raises the level of the learning teaching process and consequently the academic performance of students.
