Didactic actions for the early diagnosis of surgical pathologies through the subject General Surgery

Abstract

The teaching-learning process of the contents of General Surgery has been an important object from didactics and medicine, given the need for its mastery by the student and its daily application in his performance as a Comprehensive General Physician. The present work aims to establish and design an action plan in response to the insufficiencies that persist in the development of the aforementioned rotation of the Medicine career. As a main result, didactic actions are developed that enhance the development of skills for the early diagnosis of surgical diseases. This proves novelty given a resizing of the process based on instruments, means, procedures and historical knowledge in the specialty in question. The effects of the actions on the students were appreciated, from their implementation, which demonstrated their contribution in the preparation of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to recognize patients with surgical pathologies, which is linked to the better development of the teaching-learning process of Surgery.
