Values socialization in higher education: a theorical approach from latinoamerican reality

Abstract

A political, economic and social mobilization scene characterizes the present Latin America. It has taken our towns too and become main actors of its own development and in the face of this reality; the universities will become the center of those change processes and to be promoters of the most advanced ideas to guide the sustained development of our nations; all this in concepts of fairness, justice and social integration. In this way, the universities should focus on achieving the integral way in the educational work; mainly from the instruction, from the curricular, the university extension and the socio-political life of the university community to manifest in agreement values with the paper that itself should assume in the preservation, generation and diffusion of the culture created by the humanity. That will be possible if it deep on the values and the ways to socialize them, and irradiate them to the rest of the society, in their social responsibility. This article intends to be guided, from a theoretical focus, toward to the socialization of the values that from the interior of the universities, facilitate that its process be from instructive process and it is become the educational and developer, in consequence with the technological, scientific and humanist projection that the society requires of them.
