Abstract

The present work pretends to show the utility of the index of vegetation standardized difference to realize works of agriculture of precision, as well as of the systems of geographic information when treating these images. The standardized difference vegetation index, NDVI or NDVI, is a variable that allows estimating the development of a vegetation based on the measurement, with remote sensors, of the intensity of the radiation of certain bands of the electromagnetic spectrum that it emits or reflects Applied to plant communities, the index yields intensity values ​​of the area's greenery, and accounts for the amount of vegetation present on a surface and its state of health or vegetative vigor.
