Procedure for the process of change of teaching categories at the University of Las Tunas

The insufficiencies detected in the process of change of main teaching categories at the University of Las Tunas, related to the ambiguity in the application of the policies established by the Ministry of Higher Education by the tribunals approved for the different branches of sciences, demand a scientific review of the referred process, consequently, its improvement from the composition of the teaching staff. In this sense, the objective of this research is to establish a procedure for the orientation and control of the processes of the main teaching categories. As research methods and techniques to obtain information, the review and analysis of documents, interviews and a survey were used to determine the main causes that hinder this process. The results obtained from the diagnosis applied for the management of this process, allowed us to know that there are irregularities in the calls for the tribunals, updates of the teaching files, insufficient knowledge by the aspiring teachers about the documentation to be submitted, among others. This made it possible to base and design a procedure structured in phases and steps, which contributes to increase efficiency and effectiveness in its development. The partial validation of the procedure was carried out in the Faculty of Social and Humanistic Sciences, from which it is concluded that the proposed procedure offers a preparation guide to aspiring teachers and members of the tribunals that allows raising the quality in the process of change of main teaching categories at the University of Las Tunas.
