Abstract

The aim of this paper is to characterize postgraduate education from the development that has had the postgraduate activity in Cuba and its present and future projection, taking into account the current context and the objectives set. To this end, it deals with the development of postgraduate education, which reveals the importance it has in the continuing education of university graduates, based on its contextualisation within postgraduate education, and likewise analyses the elements that characterise it and its relationship with the social and economic context, in close connection with practice. In addition, the role of postgraduate education and the challenges it faces in the continuing education of university graduates based on their needs and the demands of society are highlighted.
