The capacity of the head of department in the direction of the University Extension from the Martiano Program

Abstract

The present article aims to model activities aimed at favouring the development of the capacity of the Head of Department in the direction of the process of University Extension, from the potentialities of the Martiano Programme, as a route for the labour training of the education professional in the context of the Teaching Department. In the research process, a set of theoretical and empirical methods were used to process the information obtained in the proposal of the activities. In addition, for its execution, it was supported by direct techniques such as participant observation and interview, surveys of students, professors and heads of departments of the university, as well as the study of documents that were used as a non-direct technique to obtain information. In this way, it was concluded that the modelling of the activities and their fulfilment favoured the development of the capacity of the Department Head in the direction of the University Extension process, from the potentialities of the Martiano Programme, by becoming a way for the labour training of the education professional in the context of the department.
