LA VINCULACIÓN CON LA COMUNIDAD Y LA RESPONSABILIDAD SOCIAL UNIVERSITARIA

THE LINK WITH THE COMMUNITY AND THE UNIVERSITY SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Resumen

La Universidad tiene una marcada responsabilidad con la sociedad en aras del desarrollo y se materializa en el mejoramiento de vida del pueblo. Este encargo social se corresponde con el cumplimiento de una de sus funciones específicas: preservar, desarrollar y promover los valores que se manifiestan en todos los sentidos del quehacer económico, social, político, cultural y medioambiental del país. El Vínculo Universitario es un sistema de interacciones de la Universidad y la Sociedad, mediante la actividad y la comunicación, que se realizan dentro y fuera del centro de Educación Superior, con el propósito de promover la cultura en la comunidad, contribuir al desarrollo cultural y fomentar los valores éticos de la personalidad. En Ecuador, los documentos del “Plan Nacional del Buen Vivir”, se refieren a la importancia de dicha relación para lograr la formación de profesionales competentes y responsables con su misión social.

ABSTRACT

In any nation of the world the University, as institution cultural of the society, has a marked responsibility with the society, in the interests of the development and is materialized in the improvement of people`s life. University-society, is a social binomial which is part of the social mission of the high institution, which aims to preserve the values in society in every sense of the economic, social, political, cultural and environmental life. In the case of Ecuador, the documents of the National Plan of Good Living, refers to this relationship as something not to be missed to achieve the formation of professionals required by the society to the highest level of teaching, scientific research, postgraduate education, the dissemination of culture and the generalization of values to all people. University-society, is a social binomial which is part of the social mission of the high institution, which aims to preserve the values in society in every sense of the economic, social, political, cultural and environmental life. In the case of Ecuador, the documents of the National Plan of Good Living, refers to this relationship as something not to be missed to achieve the formation of professionals required by the society to the highest level of teaching. It is considered as a totalizing function, present in each of the processes and structural links of the social projection of the University.
