Abstract

This article aims to present a descriptive retrospective study of the suicidal behaviour of female adolescents in the province of Las Tunas in educational centres. Suicide attempts in female adolescents have increased considerably in the last decades more than in male adolescents, which is why society has made an effort in the difficult task of preventing and minimizing the risk factors of suicide attempt, a phenomenon that has an inseparable link with social processes. Hence, the integral preparation of educators and psychopedagogues for the development of this work in their different contexts of action are challenges that the educational sector will have to face in order to eliminate the obstacles that interfere in prevention, from the educational process in order to raise the quality of life.
