Influence of local literature on vocational training.

Abstract

The article focused on local literature as a cultural instance from which it is possible, in the university framework, the formation of the professional, since the better informed the human being is, the better decisions he/she will be able to make in the professional, personal and social spheres. The objective was established as follows: to analyze the poem Estampa, by the Camagüeyan writer José Luis Álvarez, so that the professional in training reflects on the value of local literature as an expression of the feeling of belonging and being. For this purpose, discourse analysis was used. The analysis of local literature reveals the multifunctional character of literature: informative, affective, expressive, regulating, axiological and promotes a depository dimension of the communitarian, whose cultural symbology makes possible the reception of the identity value.
