The present article aims to support the effectiveness of the application of hypnosis as a therapeutic intervention technique for the prevention of suicide attempts in adolescents from educational centres in Las Tunas. This responds to the contemporary need to implement effective psychoeducational programs based on evidence and adapted to local reality. To this end, results are shown from a study conducted with an exploratory, prospective scope with pre- and post-intervention evaluation. Participatory methodology was used to work with the groups, through hypnotherapeutic interventions, as well as quantitative and qualitative techniques to obtain the risk factors in the variables: age, gender, anxiety, hopelessness, depression, risk and protective factors, negative and positive suicidal ideation, adaptive particularities. The results obtained demonstrate the effectiveness of the program applied through therapeutic hypnosis.
