ACERCAMIENTO A LA TUTORÍA EN LA FORMACIÓN INICIAL DE ESTUDIANTES EN LA SEDE CENTRAL DE LA UNIVERSIDAD PEDAGÓGICA

En el presente trabajo se resumen presupuestos teóricos y metodológicos acerca de la tutoría como forma organizativa en la formación de profesionales de la educación, tanto a nivel internacional como nacional. Se abordan las características fundamentales de varios modelos de tutoría existentes y se analizan los aspectos fundamentales del modelo de tutoría que se implementa en Cuba. A partir de las limitaciones identificadas por la autora, en la implementación de la tutoría en la carrera de Lenguas Extranjeras en la Universidad de Ciencias Pedagógicas “Pepito Tey” de Las Tunas, se presenta una propuesta de procedimientos para realizar la tutoría en este contexto de actuación y así contribuir al logro de los objetivos de formación en los dos primeros años de la Universidad.
ABSTRACT
The present article summarizes the rationale of mentoring in teacher education with reference to current thinking on the topic worldwide and in our country. Some of the characteristics of different current mentoring models are presented as well as the essential features of mentoring in Cuba. The author describes some of the limitations of mentoring EFL student teachers at Pepito Tey Pedagogical University in Las Tunas province and suggests some procedures for its better management so as to contribute to attain the goals of the teacher education model for the first two years in the university.
