The present research was aimed at addressing the shortcomings that the principals of basic secondary schools have regarding their preparation in terms of organizational climate. In these institutions, it was found that the principals show a lack of strategic thinking, use authoritarian and normative methods, do not exercise democratic management, nor seek solutions under the guidance of specialists. Taking this into account, a study was conducted, from which this article originates, with the aim of proposing actions to improve the organizational climate in these institutions in the municipality of Majibacoa. Methods of a theoretical nature such as the historical-logical, induction-deduction, and analysis-synthesis, as well as empirical methods such as documentary bibliographic review, participant scientific observation, unstructured interviews, surveys, and expert judgment were applied. With these methods, it was possible to determine the solution to the problem presented. The proposed actions were determined through methods such as observation, interviews with specialists, and bibliographic consultations, from which favorable criteria regarding their relevance and impact emerged. This research facilitated that the administrators at this educational level have tools for improving the organizational climate in their schools, which allowed for a greater guarantee in the effectiveness of the work.
