Design of agrotourism products at La Conchita farm in the municipality of Puerto Padre

Abstract

This article arises from the need to diversify the offers and tourist attractions of the territory and to take advantage of the agroecological work. Hence, its objective is focused on the design of agro-tourist products in La Conchita farm located in the municipality of Puerto Padre, based on the use of its attractions, which contributes to the management of such products in the locality and favors its development. For this purpose, research methods were used at the theoretical level, such as: analysis-synthesis, historical-logical and inductive-deductive; at the empirical level: analysis of sources, observation in its variant of participant observation, survey, interview and study of the products of the activity. As a result, a systematization of the theoretical references related to the topic was achieved, which made it possible to confirm that agro-tourism as a modality of nature tourism allows the valorization of the natural agricultural landscape and the traditions, customs and culture of the farmers by contributing to the generation of additional income and the diversification of the economies of the agricultural producers. Likewise, the procedure proposed by Mas (2013) was implemented, which resulted in the design of two agrotourism products for the diversification of the tourism offer and the development of agrotourism in the municipality of Puerto Padre.
