Influence of parental separation on the teaching-learning process. Case study in Angola

The research deals with the study carried out in the Second Cycle Secondary School of the Municipality of "Damba", Uige Province, Angola, with the objective of analyzing the psycho-pedagogical consequences manifested by the students with the separation of parents and its influence on the teaching-learning process. Through interviews with teachers and students, it was determined that the main causes of parental separation are: lack of communication, vices and domestic violence, which cause psychopedagogical consequences manifested in behavioral disorders, aggressive character and low academic performance, which negatively influences the teaching-learning process. Actions are proposed for a better accompaniment in this and decrease the psycho-pedagogical consequences.
