Linking the University Center and the Combinado Deportivo #4 in the environmental management of the municipality of Majibacoa

Abstract

Climate change is an issue of vital importance today, which has an impact not only on human beings but on all life on the planet, since the survival of the human race and of every living being is at stake. This is why there is a need to know the environmental impacts generated by the CD, as well as the compliance with current environmental legislation. Therefore, the objective of this article is to diagnose the current situation of environmental management in the Combinado Deportivo # 4 Vivienda, in order to identify the environmental problems present. The theoretical level methods used to carry out the research tasks were analysis-synthesis and induction-deduction; the technique used was surveys. It was found that actions are being taken to protect the environment and that work is being done for sustainable environmental management. Likewise, the need to design an Environmental Management System was appreciated, which allows to outline the policy or strategy that the CD will follow to solve the problems identified and thus demonstrate that it is working for a sustainable environmental management.
