Integration of intellectual and communicative skills in foreign language: didactic proposal

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to characterize a didactic proposal for the development of communicative and intellectual skills in the Foreign Languages pedagogical career. Theoretical systematization was used as a fundamental method to create the basis of the didactic proposal, from the perspective of the disciplines of the career curriculum. The skills involved in the writing exercise of the diploma work of the fourth year students of the mentioned career were taken as a practical reference. The study generated results that are summarized in a summary of the intellectual skills that are prioritized in the writing of the students' diploma thesis, based on actions and problems to be solved, related to their communicative and intellectual development. These activities are aimed at integrating notions and strategies necessary to participate in the discursive culture of the disciplines, as well as in the activities of production and analysis of texts required at the university. Finally, some actions were proposed for the positioning of the student before the research topic. The article reaffirms the need to consolidate a line of inquiry that questions and delves into ways of thinking and communicating efficiently in a foreign language.
