Methodology for the elaboration of inferences in the understanding of word problems

Abstract

The elaboration of inferences is an essential process in the understanding of word problems, since it allows the reconstruction of the semantic content of the latter, through the unveiling of multiple relationships. The above justifies the importance of the effectiveness of its didactic approach; however, in the opinion of the author of the papers, the existing instruments overdimension the analytical function of understanding; which limits the role of the elaboration of inferences. Consequently, the objective of the article is to offer a methodology for the elaboration of inferences when word problem understanding, sustained in the transversality of understanding when solving problems. For its elaboration, methods such as: documentary analysis, analysis-synthesis, induction-deduction and functional structural system.
