Rural women in economic initiatives based on intercooperation

Abstract

The work was carried out within the framework of the diploma Comprehensive management of agricultural cooperatives on the basis of intercooperation, with the objective of promoting the empowerment of rural women in economic initiatives in intercooperation between agricultural cooperatives. Among the main research methods applied were documentary, open and group interviews. Information was obtained that allowed us to identify the strengths and weaknesses of women's empowerment in economic initiatives. The triangulation of the results of the methods was carried out and the problem raised above was determined. Based on the critical problems identified, the action plan was developed, which was evaluated by the users' criteria through the adaptation of the logical framework. The result was that 95% of the participants issued a favorable individual satisfaction assessment and the Group Satisfaction Index (ISG) was able to mobilize women and co-prativists to the actions of the plan for their training. In addition, the expected impacts in the studied context and some of the preliminary results achieved are made explicit.
