Theoretical-methodological foundations for the study of the pedagogical work of Hortensia Pichardo Viñals.

Abstract

The article argues the theoretical-methodological references for the study of the pedagogical work of Hortensia Pichardo Viñals. Cuban teacher and researcher, who developed a work committed to her time during the bourgeois Republic and the revolution in power. The materialist dialectic is assumed as the general method of scientific knowledge that articulates those of the theoretical and empirical level, among them: historical-logical, analytical-synthetic and inductive-deductive. Historical research techniques were used, documentary analysis, bibliographic filing, critique of sources, which allowed systematizing the pedagogical, historical-social, philosophical, psychological and didactic foundations, as part of the rescue of the nation's historical memory. It is a partial result of an ongoing doctoral research, which belongs to the Institutional Project: The improvement of the undergraduate and graduate professional in Higher Education in Cuba and Matanzas, belonging to the research line Educational and pedagogical thought in the University of Matanzas.
