The Autonomous University of Nayarit in the internationalization of higher education

Abstract

This article reflects on the progress and challenges of internationalization in higher education in the 21st century, in a globalized world. The guidelines given by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) are taken as a starting point, and a review of academic articles by electronic means is made, which allow locating the current process of educational institutions in Mexico. The Institutional Development Plan of the Universidad Autónoma de Nayarit is analyzed, from which it is concluded that as a Higher Education Institution it generates qualified and specialized human resources to serve society in a potential way. It seeks to link through collaboration agreements, networks, alliances and research, exchange and student mobility in order that future professionals meet the needs of the labor market and can face various situations, to achieve the skills required for a world in constant change.
