THE TEACHING OF LANGUAGE IN ACCORDANCE TO LINGUISTICS AS THE SCIENCE OF LANGUAGE AND THE SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNOLOGICAL REVOLUTION HELD IN EDUCATION IN CUBA

Resumen

Este artículo aborda el concepto y los rasgos que caracterizan a la ciencia y nos muestra cómo la ciencia como forma de la conciencia está ligada a la vida material y espiritual de la sociedad. Se recoge cómo ha evolucionado la lingüística como ciencia desde el mismo surgimiento del lenguaje. También se analiza cómo se da la enseñanza de la lengua en Cuba desde la colonia hasta nuestros días y cómo la Revolución Científica - Técnica que se viene operando en este campo ha contribuido a ello, así como el protagonismo que nuestra Revolución le ha concedido. El tema tratado tiene gran actualidad y desde la propia práctica profesional constituye un referat importante que sirve de consulta tanto para los docentes en formación como para los que ejercen su labor.

ABSTRACT

Linguistics is the science that studies language, that’s why it is important to define the term science. This article deals with the concept and the features that characterize science and it shows how science as a form of awareness is related to the material and spiritual life of society. It is also explained how linguistics has evolved as a science since the appearance of language and it makes and exhaustive analysis about the teaching of the Spanish language in Cuba since the Colonial Period up to now, how the Technical and Scientific Revolution that is taking place in this field has contributed to this and the leading role the revolution has given to it. The topic investigated is really up date and it is in itself and important report that can be consulted by teachers and teachers to be.
