EL DESARROLLO DE LA MAESTRÍA EN CIENCIAS DE LA EDUCACIÓN DE AMPLIO ACCESO EN LAS TUNAS. UNA VARIABLE DE LA CALIDAD

THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE PROGRAM OF MASTER IN EDUCATIONAL SCIENCES OF OPEN ACCESS IN LAS TUNAS. A VARIABLE OF QUALITY

Resumen

El grado de desarrollo alcanzado por la Educación Superior en Cuba y en particular en las Universidades de Ciencias Pedagógicas (UCP) con el Programa de la Maestría en Ciencias de la Educación de amplio acceso, exige pasar a una nueva etapa en el Sistema de Evaluación y Acreditación. El desarrollo de esta maestría requiere de mucha organización y aseguramientos, sobre todo por la masividad de la matrícula de educadores y directivos de los niveles educativos. Con su implementación se han obtenido diversos logros visibles en el número y calidad de los graduados, lo que posibilita ampliar la planta docente de la propia maestría, su capacitación para desarrollar nuevas tareas y comenzar a desplegar acciones para su incorporación a estudios de primer nivel.

ABSTRACT

The level of development reached in Higher Education in Cuba, and particular at the Universities of Pedagogical Sciences (UPC) with the introduction of the Master in Educational Sciences Program of open access demands the conception of a new stage in the System of Evaluation and Accreditation, since its development in three paramount scenes: main site, municipal pedagogical sites and microuniversities. This requires taking profits of the acquired experience to the present and preparing these institutions to face the new challenges in the formation of educators from a constant self-assessment and through the elaboration of improvement plans. The development of this type of mastership has required a set of arrangements never used before, if it is considered the quantity of teachers and administrators registered from the different educational levels. The result has been very encouraging, according to the initial experience in all municipal sites and specially in the Municipal Site of Media and Media Superior. A lot of achievements have been provided and have had a positive influence in the number and quality of graduates. This made possible to wide up the staff of professors of the mastership program, as well as their upgrading to carry out new tasks and start to develop actions in order to get studies of first level. The results obtained might become in a mechanism of great use and legitimacy, not only to inform them in the different levels but even to change attitudes towards their presentation. This presupposes a commitment with change and concords with the general objective of the strategy for the evaluation of the quality of Higher Pedagogical Education.
