Abstract

The article focuses on the methodology for adapting games that can be used in physical activities for schoolchildren with mental retardation, hence the methodological steps that must be taken into account by teachers of Physical Culture who work in special schools and care centres where this type of special population with disabilities is served. A methodology is proposed that is based on a research process supported by four doctoral theses on this subject, which makes it easier for physical activity teachers to adapt games to the different contexts in which they work.
