Abstract

The teaching of the English language was included in the curriculum of the Ecuadorian public schools, approximately a century ago, since then, the educational authorities and the teachers have faced many problems, trying to find the best method to overcome the related problems. with the low command of the English language in Ecuadorian public education. The purpose of this article is to address essential aspects related to the most effective way to apply English as a means of instruction (EMI) in Ecuadorian public education, as well as the advantages and disadvantages that can be faced while implementing it.
