Abstract

In the work it is reflected on the importance of the attention to the self-care of the health of the pedagogic professional elder in the model of the new university, from the aging population as a contemporary sociocultural problem, quantitative data derived from two surveys are offered, one directed to the state of knowledge of itself and other to the knowledge on the self-care and the application of the potentialities of the Karate-Do for its attention, the results were triangulated. Tables are presented that evidence and support the analyses made by the authors.
