Theoretical approach to the process of social responsibility value formation

Abstract

The process of values formation constitutes the complement for the achievement of the integral formation of the professional that is desired in today's universities. Working to form the value of social responsibility is the university's commitment to society in response to social demand in the solution of social problems and the contribution to sustainable community development. By the way, the objective of this article was: to support from theory the formation of the value of social responsibility in the students of the Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. For this reason, a systematic review of academic reference materials was carried out, extracted from sites such as: Web of Science (WoS), Scopus, Scielo and Doaj, with the research topics on value formation processes and social responsibility. Theoretical methods were used to process the information and construct theoretical-methodological criteria. The main references found coincide in the need for the formation of values and social responsibility, as indispensable elements in integral formation, in close relationship with the community. It was concluded that the elements referred to in the study are essential to support the formation of the value of social responsibility in the solution of social problems and the participation of students in social life.
