New guard institutions: a need for the Special Education teacher

Abstract

From the approval of the Cuban Republic Constitution and the New Families Code, the Professional Special Education assume a protagonist role in the orientation and in the taking decisions. In a particular way, in there cognition of the new guard and protection institutions, in the familiar ambit stands out: Then o judicialy appointed guardians; the familiar protection; the institutional protection of minors and voluntary alimony (food). The knowledge of these new guard institutions permits (alowds) the teacher to advise and to position the families from the emotional, educational, formatic and economic optics in the attention of its members and also tomak specific the educational answers in correspondence to the each student need. In that sense, the purpose of this article is to lay foundation of the conditions to the need of the knowledge of the new guard institutions for the Special Education teachers who take care of one student with a mental disability. In there search process were used empirical and theoric methods wich permit to compile, interpret and prosecute the information related with subject-matter of the study, in order to give a solution of the scientific traced problem. We get to the conclusions that synthesize the study results to improve the actuation ways (methods) of the Special Education teacher in the personal, educational and familiar ambit.
