Abstract

The objective of this study is to determine the causes that condition school desertion in the technical sciences careers at the Universidad de Oriente. Using methods and techniques from a mixed approach. The main results obtained were that the insufficient professional orientation and socialization with the university environment, constitute the causes that condition the school desertion of the students of technical careers in the Universidad de Oriente.
